Be Confident in Your Own Perspective
The other day, while reading the book Show Your Work! by Austin Kleon , I came across a wonderful idea that I would love to share with everyone:
Everyone has their own unique perspective, viewpoint, and taste regarding the things around them.
Your worldview may be considered beautiful by one group of people, but it might be seen as unappealing through the eyes of another.
That doesn't really matter!
What truly matters is that you feel happy and content with your own perspectives. It is nonsensical to get drawn into arguments with others over whether this artwork or that artwork possesses more artistic merit, when what genuinely matters is: does the work you find beautiful truly hold meaning for you?
Embrace the things you consider beautiful and share them confidently with those around you. Welcome supportive words and ignore unconstructive criticism. You will naturally attract people who share your worldview and filter out those who do not view the world the way you do.
You will find the community where you truly belong. And eventually, you will find your own self-worth within that community!
Thank you for reading my article!
