What Lessons Did Covid-19 Teach Me?

This past week, I had a pretty severe bout of Covid-19 because I was too complacent, allowing the virus to penetrate deep into my body.

My throat was burning so much that I couldn't swallow food. My body was drenched in sweat with high fevers reaching 40°C, accompanied by immense anxiety as the fever wouldn't break despite taking fever reducers continuously for three days. Fortunately, by the fourth day, my body gradually began to recover and kick Covid-19 out of where it didn't belong.

Although it was an unpleasant experience, it reminded me of a quote that I dearly love:

When you are healthy, you have ten thousand dreams to pursue. But when you are sick, you only have one dream left — to be healthy again.

Indeed, sometimes painful physical experiences serve as reminders of just how important our health is. And as Benjamin Franklin once said:

Only when the rich are sick do they truly realize the helplessness of wealth.

Therefore, while wealth is undeniably an important facet of life, don't be foolish enough to trade your health for it. Strive to balance everything so that when you do acquire great wealth, it still holds meaning!
